Flexible Electrical Conduit

UL Cable Tight™ System

The CableTight™ System is a watertight electrical conduit solution which has the strength to withstand harsh underground environments, yet the flexibility to allow installers to get the job done quickly and correctly the first time. The system employs continuous runs of HDPE conduit with press-fit connectors to facilitate fast, accurate, and watertight conduit installation.

FLEXIBLE WATERTIGHT CONDUIT SOLUTION

With continuous HDPE conduit runs of up to 1,500 ft and simple press-fit connections, CableTight™ eliminates the time, labor costs, and potential leak points of having to make a glued connection every 10 ft with PVC conduit sticks.

HIGHLIGHTS

PRESS-FIT CONNECTORS

CableTight™ press-fit connectors allow conduit connections to be made by hand with no specialized tools, either to extend flexible conduit runs or make watertight threaded connections to rigid metal conduit.

CableTight-icon-highly-flixible.psd

HIGHLY FLEXIBLE

Both ¾" and 1" CableTight™ flexible conduit reels are easily transported and rolled out with the flexibility to make the required trench sweeps (¾" = 15" bend radius, 1" = 20" bend radius).

CONTINUOUS RUNS

With continuous HDPE conduit runs of up to 1,500 ft, CableTight™ eliminates the time, labor costs, and potential leak points of having to make a glued connection every 10 ft with PVC conduit sticks.

FASTER INSTALLATION

CableTight™ continuous HDPE conduit runs eliminate laborious glued joint work every 10 ft, making wire pulls smooth and easy while the press-fit connectors facilitate time-saving connections during install.

UNIVERSAL CONNECTIONS

Two fitting types (conduit-to-conduit and conduit-to-threaded conduit) allow for a quick and watertight connection to all potential conduit materials including CableTight™ flexible conduit, rigid metal conduit, and even PVC.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Connect

Inserting HDPE conduit causes the metal grippers to expand and allow the conduit to pass through to the backstop.

2. Grip

A quick tug causes the gripping teeth to bite into the conduit for a secure, gasketed, watertight connection.

3. Reconnect

The connectors can also be removed and re-installed if an incorrect connection is made.

FASTER INSTALLATION

CableTight™ continuous HDPE conduit runs eliminate laborious glued joint work every 10 ft, making wire pulls smooth and easy while the press-fit connectors facilitate time-saving connections during install.

CableTight - Install - Longer Runs.psd

Longer Runs

Improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of installations by rolling continuous runs of CableTight™ conduit off a reel while eliminating constant joint work.

CableTight - Install - Flexibility.psd

Greater Flexibility

CableTight™ conduit provides the flexibility and bend radius to make tight trench sweeps, helping to reduce the overall necessary sizes of trenches.

CableTight - Install - Less Connections.psd

Less Connections

Instead of glued PVC joints for every 10 ft of conduit, CableTight™ simply requires a single press-fit connector at each end of the conduit run.

CableTight - Install - Wire Pull.psd

Smooth Wire Pulls

The smooth, joint-free interior diameter of CableTight™ conduit facilitates frictionless, faster wire pulls and minimizes the risk of wire damage or blockages.

Installation

CableTight™ press-fit connectors allow electrical contractors to make conduit connections by hand with no specialized tools, either to extend flexible conduit runs or make watertight threaded connections to metal conduit. Inserting HDPE conduit causes the metal grippers to expand and allow the conduit to pass through to the backstop. A quick tug causes the integrated gripping teeth rings to bite into the conduit for a secure, watertight connection. The connectors can also be removed and re-installed if an incorrect connection is made.

Press-Fit Connectors

  • A: O-Ring Seals
Double Nitrile O-ring seals on both fitting ends create a watertight seal between the fitting
    and conduit.

  • B: Gripping Teeth
Machined steel gripping teeth rings on both fitting ends bite into the conduit to create a
    secure connection.

  • C: Fitting Body
A high-strength Acetal engineered plastic fitting body provides superior durability built
    for harsh underground environments.

  • D: Joiner
The gasketed, threaded, two-sided joiner allows the fitting to be separated and re-connected if adjustments are needed.
